This paper shows how to use big data when producing official statistics and introduces a pilot project for "earlier data release of the Current Mining and Manufacturing Index by using media data". The project is designed to increase data accuracy and promote earlier data dissemination. And it is expected to highly increase efficiency of the statistical production system.
