A UNECE-led task team involving representatives of 13 national and international statistical organizations has drafted a proposal for a project to be presented to the High Level Group for the Modernisation of Statistical Production and Services (HLG) in October.  We now seek feedback from all those interested in this area, in order to ensure that the proposal and the eventual project are as effective as possible.

MSIS 2014 - Dublin

Save the date!

MSIS 2014 will be held in Dublin Castle, hosted by the Irish Central Statistics Office, on 14-16 April 2014

A major new project to create a Common Statistical Production Architecture (also known as "plug and play") has just been launched. More information.

The OECD will host the 2013 MSIS meeting in Paris, 24-26 April. A new feature for 2013 will be a live link and shared sessions with a similar meeting for the Asia Pacific region, organised by UNESCAP in Bangkok.

If statistical software is designed to be multilingual from the start, it is much easier to share. This new publication from the Sharing Advisory Board provides practical guidelines for software developers to facilitate international collaboration.

MSIS 2012

The IMF will host MSIS 2012 in Washington D.C. on 21-23 May 2012.

Software Inventory Launched

Looking for statistical software? Take a look at the new inventory of software available for sharing, prepared by the Sharing Advisory Board and the CORA ESSnet project. 

The papers and presentations for MSIS 2010 are now all available here.

Participants are also encouraged to share their best photographs from the meeting here (Note: a user account is required to view this page).

At the last MSIS meeting in Oslo in May 2009, it was agreed to present an extensive list of topics for discussion at the next meeting. The final list of topics will subsequently be narrowed down according to the interests expressed by statistical organizations.
