As of September 2015, the Organizing Committee will begin planning the next seminar on data collection. Date and location are still to be confirmed. All previous participants will be informed as soon as we have further details available. It is intended that the seminar will have a joint day alongside the UNECE expert group on Dissemination and Communication, permitting one or more joint sessions on the interface between collection and communication.…
UNECE’s second seminar on data collection looked at Big Data, new sources, new approaches to management and centralisation, and mixed-mode collection, among other topics.  The focus was on the organizational-level implications of the rapidly-changing data environment.  The goal of the seminar was to bring data collection specialists together to help the statistical community to rise to the new challenges by sharing knowledge and experience across organizations.…
