Key issues and priorities

  • Common processes for collecting data globally
  • Strategies and incentives for optimising response/representativeness
  • Separation of content, delivery and presentation for dissemination - to enable rapid innovation in presentation layer, with more standards based approaches to content and delivery
  • Common set of machine to machine services for dissemination (delivery layer services)
  • sharing common approaches to microdata access including 'On the Fly' confidentiality services
  • Develop standard approaches to output metadata
  • Collaborate on delivery and presentation layer tools and applications
  • Use of mobile devices (smartphones, tablets etc) for data collection
