Development of appropriate and common methodologies and terminology for = the harmonization of statistics to promote the availability of comprehensiv= e, timely and reliable statistics for sustainable transport planning and an= alysis and to improve international comparability of transport statistics. = The work includes methodologies for the collection and compilation of stati= stics on road, rail, inland waterway, pipeline and combined transport, on r= oad traffic accidents and indicators of sustainable transport. It is done i= n cooperation and coordination with other UNECE bodies and related internat= ional organizations.
