The aim of this methodological material is to help national statistical organisations to develop strategies for the dissemination of statistics via Internet. It is complementary to "Guidelines for Statistical Metadata on the Internet" considering in more detail practical issues useful for implementation of statistical websites. The material aims to contribute to a broader harmonization in the use of web technologies. 

Intended use:

This methodolodical material is intended for national statistical organisations and other national and international bodies disseminating statistics via Internet. The target audience is statistical metadata system designers, subject-matter statisticians and IT experts.

Maintenance organization:The body responsible for maintaining the Guidelines is the UNECE Statistical Division.
