On-line CorrectionCorrecting the values in erroneous data items of a previously checked data set on a video terminal. The intuition is that outliers in the distribution of uncorrected (raw) data are more likely to be incorrect. Examples are data values that lie in the tails of the distributions of ratios of two fields (ratio edits), weighted sums of fields (linear inequality edits), and Mahalanobis distributions (multivariate normal) or outlying points to point clouds of graphs.
