Definition

A "Binary Object. Type" is a sequence of bits.

Remarks

Binary Object. Type is differentiated from its related types - Graphic. Type, Picture. Type, Sound. Type, and Video. Type.

It is recommended to use the XOP/MTOM approach for instantiation of binara objects as attachments.

Use

Binary Object. Type should be used for embedding documents such as Word, PDF and / or engineering documents.

Usually, we don't need "MIME Code List Agency", because IANA is the only responsible agency of MIME Type Codes.

MIME is an abbreviation that must be normally described in any place.

Comment "Not required, if XOP/MTOM approach is used" should be moved to the Graphic. Encoding. Code SC. The MIME content type code is required to identify the file format, independently of the file encoding method.
